Keani rolled her eyes, shifting on the couch to let her legs drape over the edge with her feet planted on the floor. She shook her head while still giving Silas a grin. "Well then, that just means I need to keep the grub hot and tasty to keep on your good side." She smoothed out the wrinkles in her jumpsuit, giving another tug to the cuff of her sleeve. "Why don't you show Finnie what you can really do to spruce up the ship? With the right parts you scrape from the bugs, I'm sure you could make some miracles."

Silas shrugged calmly. "Oh sure, I could easily spruce this place up. Get it preforming with at least a ten percent increase. 'Course, the Narid don't sleep, so it'd require constant attention. There's a reason why Narid ships work so well, but the best alternative to that is designing some AI to help fill in the blanks. Finch won't hear to that, and Finn would sooner shoot me before he let me change anything on his baby," she grumbled, rather displeased at that.

Keani leaned back against the back of the couch, her head back with her eyes closed as she listens. "There's nothing wrong with sprucing up some AI to help out with the small things," she offered to Silas. "The only big thing is getting Finn to agree to it all. If you could swing him to your thinking..." She left the rest unsaid for the moment, one hand going up to rub at the bridge of her nose. "What are you looking forward to with Ferrum? Once the job's done, I mean. Taking some time just to stay dirtside, or ready to jump back onto the next job?"
