Nesune doesn't ignite the blade, but still gives a lazy swing with the handgrip. "As much as we'd want to be nothing but negotiators, we also require other talents." She looks to the corridor leading toward the cockpit in answer to Kali's question. "Soon enough, I'd wager. The captain seemed especially eager to be departing the station very soon by her tone. If we stayed more than another hour, I would be very surprised."

Jannik smiled as the Captain entered the cockpit, looking up from the docking computer as he took of his headset. "We just got clearance to head out, staring departure sequence now, Captain." He tapped a few controls, and the ships engines hummed to powerful life. And just as Kali voiced her question, Jannik turned on the ship's intercom, "Leaving station now. Prepare for jump to hyperspace as soon as we clear the perimeter." He clicked off the intercom, "What course shall I set, Captain? Unless they've changed since I left.. probably more than a few Imperial patrols on the direct course."

Stretching her back, Silas cringes as a few resounding pops echo through the cockpit. "Good question. I'll start plotting the jump to hyperspace. See what records are saying about the routes," she mutters, moving over to the nav computer.
After a bit of work, well after the Peregrine left the station, Silas finishes her plotting. "We'll be taking a side route, skimming close to the core worlds. There's a small window of opportunity between the usual asteroid fields and trade routes, so we'll jump right between them. Should reach Dantooine in four days," she grins. Nothing was more satisfying to her than clearing more than half of the galaxy in less than a week. Most ships would've taken a much longer route, sitting somewhere between ten to twenty days to make the trip, but the Peregrine was not most ships. She flew fast, and with such a high end hyperdrive, they could take routes that most pilots would avoid.
"Coordinates are set on the nav. Burn sky 'til we see lines, Jannik. I'll go let our guests know." With that, she steps out of the cockpit and into the common area. "Four days. I'd like to see any other pilot on Carrick Station plot a course that fine," she happily boasts, stuffing her hands into her pockets.

Kali blinks up at Silas as the woman enters. "...Four days?" She may not know much about ships themselves, but she knew how long she tended to be cooped up in them. "That's great news." She smiles, looking toward Nesune. "...And easily worth the credits, don't you think?"

Nesune slips the handgrip back into its holster, glancing up as Silas enters. "Suitably impressive. There are some capital ships in the Republic fleets that would still take longer than you." She bows her head, folding her hands between the sleeves of her robe. "More than worth the payment so far, as Kaliendra says. You know your ship and... crew, Captain."

Silas stares at Nesune, her head tilting as she tries to make heads of tails out of the woman. "I gotta give it to you, Nesune . . . you're a hard code to crack. I'm usually pretty good at reading people, but damn, if you're not the most Jedi Jedi I've ever met." Her eyes flick over to Kali then, and she just grins, flashing her pearly whites and looking awfully amused, though she doesn't elaborate on what's going on in her strange head as she looks at Kali.
"Suitably impressive? The Peregrine is many things, but I don't think suitably impressive quite covers it." She stares hard at Nesune, analyzing her with a studious stare. Her features remain soft enough, so it doesn't appear that she's upset or glaring at the woman. "Mind explaining to an old captain what two Jedi are looking for in the abandoned Jedi enclave? If you're looking for swag, I'm afraid you're a bit late. By about three hundred years. The Exchange has searched that place brick by brick. If there was anything left after Darth Whosit bombed it searching for Darth Whocares, scavengers picked it all up."

"Malak, and that was during the Civil War. The Temple on Tython has a collection of what we've managed to salvage from the Enclave so far." Nesune tilts her toward Silas, gesturing with open hands. "Let's simply say that we wish to make sure anything remaining in the Enclave is not in danger of falling to the Sith. I'm sure others like the Exchange or Czerka have poured through the ruins already, though there may be things that were missed."
The Jedi looks toward Kali, nodding. "If you're looking for a diversion, Captain, you could sit in on our training exercise once Kaliendra is ready. A basic review of Shii-Cho would serve at first, I believe. Then we can delve more fully into Soresu."

Kali blinks. "Wait now? I thought... supper?" She shakes her head, as she reaches for her own lightsaber hilt. "...Soresu? You haven't really taught me much of that form yet... It's mostly defensive, correct?" She shoots a glance to Silas, to see if the woman had shown any interest in watching. She was clearly just talking out of her own nervousness at this point. "So are we going to train first and then eat? Or train some before and after?"

Silas waves her hand dismissively, then gestures to the kitchen area that she had shown the two before. "You two . . . start your space wizard mumbo jumbo, and I'll see about starting something to eat," she grunts, already making her way to the kitchen to take a stock of what they had.
"Jannik, you hungry?" she calls out as she pass the cockpit's hallway. A quick glance down the way showed that they were currently in hyperspace, so the Rodian had no real reason to be in the cockpit anymore. Automated processes and everything.

Nesune rises from the couch behind the holochess table, nodding at Kali. "Some before, then we'll rest for supper and continue afterwards. And yes. Soresu is more of defenses and outlasting your opponent. Not as aggressive as the wild and fluidic Shii-Cho, or Ataru's sweeping acrobatics, and more defense than Niman's balance amongst all actions. True masters of Soresu show patience and tenacity, letting their foes tire and providing no openings to be taken advantage of." Nesune gestures to the free space in the common area, motioning for Kali to follow.
The Jedi unholsters her own lightsaber, looking over the controls. "But first, Shii-Cho. Review for me its basis first, little one. Then a short demonstration before we move to Soresu."

Jannik calls out, "Yes. I could eat a.. big something." He made his way out of the Cockpit, "I'll be with our guests, you know what my cooking is like." He made a hooting cackle, and walked into the common room, calling up their course on the holo-display. "I don't know how she comes up with these sometimes." He shrugged, and watched the Jedi with rapt interest, leaning against a bulkhead. Watching others fight was a popular passtime, his blue eyes peering for weaknesses to exploit.

Kali nodded as she held her hilt, activating the glowing blue blade. It was shorter than most, a type generally favored for dual-wielding though the girl had only one. "Of course Master." Her eyes darted again to the rodian that was now watching them.
The reason for the odd choice became obvious as she began her forms. They were basic, yes, but that is what Shii-Cho was. It was the deliberate nature of her movements, the slight clumsiness that followed an overextension of a movement or the jerkiness of an arm out of place. It was clear she lacked the dexterity that the use of two blades would demand on its wielder, though that much would be obvious with a single look at the girl. It would not be hard for Jannik to find weaknesses to exploit, of course he was also unlikely to consider her a worthy challenge.

Nesune watches as the Padawan goes through the form, nodding to Kali. "Good, good. As you recall, the Order developed this form millenia ago, when we fought with actual swords. That was before the physics of lightsabers were perfected, and we graduated to more elegant weapons." The Jedi circled around Kali, watching her with a practiced appraisal. "Shii-Cho teaches the basis of all the other forms. It is intuitive, and raw. One works with their feelings and lets the Force guide their hands. Insufficient when paired against another lightsaber, but it is effective when no other form would be better."
Nesune looks to the Rodian overseeing the exercise. "I trust you and your captain don't transport too many diplomats for the Senate. For some reason, I get that impression of her."

Continuing her forms as Nesune circled her, she responded with only a nod. Closing her eyes, she started to fall into a rough rhythm. The form became more fluid, though still she overstepped herself. There were openings to her movements, some were just the nature of the form, others were from her own mistakes. The deliberation fell away though as she went though, and as her movements became more natural the mistakes lessened.
She flowed from offense to defense, blocking imaginary thrusts, deflected bolts that weren't there. There was no showing off, the swings were simple and to the point, the blocks minor movements to bring the blade in line. Still, no matter how much she fell into the exercise, it was clear that she had more to learn, even with the most basic of forms.

Jannik thinks for a moment, "Not in my memory. Normally work with less animate cargo. She-" nods at Kali "-is your student, correct?" He asks, merely confirming the patently obvious. Uncrossing his arms, he moves over to a small datascreen on the wall, monitoring the flight for a moment, not fully trusting of the autopilot. Looking back over at Nes and Kali. "First time I've seen Jedi up close--not a fan of close combat, myself." He seemed genuinely interested in watching Kali, skilled or no, it was still insight into how Jedi fought.
